Getting Here

Comprised of 40 islands, islets and cays, the Turks and Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory just a short 90-minute flight from Miami (to the Providenciales International Airport – PLS).

The island is easily accessible by non-stop flights from New York, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta, Boston, and Newark as well as direct flights from Montreal and Toronto in Canada. Visitors from London can travel on the new Virgin Airlines flight!

All visitors traveling to The Turks and Caicos Islands must have a valid passport to enter. Your passport should be valid for a minimum of six months from the date of entry into Turks and Caicos.

Travelers are usually given permission to stay up to 90 days in Turks and Caicos Islands, provided you show proof of your return ticket.

The Providenciales International Airport has a second floor with additional seating, café and bar, WiFi and outside deck and the stairs are located along the far-left side of the terminal.

Upon arrival, you’ll have two primary options to get from the airport to The Palms – taxi or rental car.  Access to all these options are directly outside the main exit of the airport. You will immediately see airport staff directing people towards taxi pick-ups, resort shuttles, car rental pick-ups and off-site car rental shuttles.

Taxis from the airport are usually shared passenger vans. Average cost from the Airport to most Grace Bay resorts is approximately $28.00 – $35.00 based on two travelers. Expect to pay more if you’re traveling further east or south on the Island.

Resorts are not allowed to provide their own airport transportation, unless pre-arranged with a taxi service.  If you are interested in private transportation, our concierge will be happy to help you!

Please note that cars drive on the left side of the road. Important to know if you are renting a car.

Cruise Travelers arrive into Grand Turk island, which is a short flight from Providenciales.  There is no ferry service or roads connecting to Grand Turk.
