Providenciales is renowned for magnificent Grace Bay Beach: twelve uninterrupted miles of talcum-powder soft sand surrounded by calm, gin-clear waters.  But Grace Bay Beach is just one of many magnificent beaches on our island.  Other highlights include Long Bay Beach, Taylor Bay, Turtle Tail, Leeward Beach, Mudjin Harbour and Half Moon Bay.

Island-hopping beach BBQ trips, sunset cruises, sailing charters and snorkeling excursions are all popular boat activities. There are many tour providers and we are here to assist with arranging the most memorable excursions with reputable companies.

The Turks and Caicos Islands are home to one of the longest coral reefs in the world. There are an incredible number of opportunities to view wildlife under the water here. You can try “beginner” courses at Coral Gardens right off Grace Bay Beach, or head to the to sea mounts with the chance to encounter migrating humpback whales in the Turks and Caicos passage.

Providenciales is the center for the excellent sport fishing found in the Turks and Caicos. Every year, several tournaments take place here, from the international Caicos Classic deep-sea billfishing event to many smaller reef and bottom fishing contests. Amazing world-class bone fishing is also found on the Caicos flats surrounding Providenciales and the Caicos Islands. A fishing adventure can be a great way to put some excitement into your Turks and Caicos vacation.

There’s no need to leave the links behind when you travel to the Turks and Caicos. Instead, you can look forward to playing on one of the top ten 18-hole golf courses in the Caribbean at the Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club. The natural limestone outcroppings, carpeted in unique prickly pear cactus and scrub foliage make for a memorable experience. Try some golf-oriented shopping therapy at the clubhouse and finish up your day with a drink followed by dinner on a terrace overlooking the golf course and the setting Caribbean sun.

Experience horseback riding along the shores of Providenciales with guided tours.  Riding on horseback is an amazing and romantic way to experience the white sand beaches and turquoise waters of the Turks and Caicos Islands.  Local horseback riding excursions will take you along quiet dirt roads and canals to one of the most beautiful beaches of Providenciales and home to The Shore Club – Long Bay Beach.

Just a thirty-minute ferry ride from Providenciales are the quiet islands of North Caicos and Middle Caicos. The two islands are less developed than Providenciales, and feature great landscapes, secluded beaches, old plantations, and Conch Bar Caves, one of the largest dry cave systems in the Caribbean.

A must visit in Middle Caicos is Mudjin Harbour, a majestic coastal landscape of beaches, cliffs, and turquoise water.

For many visitors, a day trip to North and Middle Caicos is just not long enough.  If you are interested in extending your time in our Sister Islands, let us know and we can arrange an Island Hop Package tailored just for you.

The Turks and Caicos Islands is quickly becoming discovered as the kiteboarding paradise of the Caribbean!  Long Bay is perfect for learning: the water is warm, clear, shallow and turquoise for miles; the seabed is perfectly soft, white sand; the beach is long with plenty of space to launch and land safely. It is never crowded, but there are always experienced kiters around to help you feel safe on the beach and in the water.

Potcake Place is a dog rescue charity based in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands, located in Saltmills Plaza in the Grace Bay area. Pop in, play with some puppies and even take one out for a walk.  There is a constant stream of puppies needing socialization and adoption.

Providenciales features the best collection of gift, art, boutique, and souvenir shops. Our smaller and less-populated islands do not have as wide an offering, but do have the essentials, groceries, and locally made arts and crafts.

On Providenciales, Grace Bay is the center of upscale retail. The majority of shops are found in plazas, including The Regent Village, Saltmills Plaza, and Ports of Call.

The best beach snorkeling near Grace Bay can found at Coral Gardens, also known as the Bight Reef, with clearly marked-out boundaries making this a great spot to bring children and Smith’s Reef, an array of reefs located close to Turtle Cove.  Malcolm’s Road Beach is a beautiful and secluded spot found off the remote west coast of Providenciales.
